The Frontiersman's Belt
The Frontiersman's Belt
Join the brotherhood of men reclaiming tradition with animal-based clothing, just like our ancestors. The Frontiersman’s Belt is a dependable companion crafted from 10 oz (4mm thick) chrome-free, vegetable-tanned leather and solid brass hardware. Available in honey or black, it’s dyed-through (so it won’t lose color if scratched) and greased for better water resistance and pliability.
Naturally Tanned, Naturally Better
Unlike mass-produced belts made with plastic-based “vegan leather,” this belt contains zero plastics, synthetics, or toxic chemicals—just real, full-grain leather that ages beautifully. Our veg-tan leather is tanned using the bark of the acacia tree, avoiding the heavy metals found in chrome-tanned leather that can leach into your skin, disrupt hormones, and pose long-term health risks. Instead, this traditional tanning method creates a leather that is strong, durable, and rich with character.
To enhance its performance, the leather is greased with fish oil—odorless yet deeply conditioning—to keep it soft, pliable, and naturally water-resistant.
Built for a Lifetime
Handcrafted in Colombia, The Frontiersman’s Belt features solid brass screws, making the brass buckles interchangeable for customization and longevity. Built to stand the test of time, this belt is designed to be a companion for life, not just a season.
The leather comes from grass-fed, pasture-raised cattle in Colombia, where industrialized grain-fed cows basically don’t exist. This means stronger, healthier leather from animals raised the way nature intended—free to roam, graze, and develop durable hides that last for generations.
Sizes are based on the length from the heel of the buckle to the middle hole (see graphic for reference), with five holes one inch apart. A good rule of thumb is pant size +2 = belt size.
